There are so many Youtube movies or internet articles regarding golf out there. You might have been looking for any information helpful for you, then you might ended up accessing more than enough information, in the end, you have no idea who says right, no idea what to do. Don't you have such experience?
Many golf lessons on TV or YouTube teach you golf in part by small parts such as grip, takeaway, top position and down swing. So to speak, it's partial teaching, not as a whole.
You already know it does not help you improving your game of golf, because golf swing is continuous movement of your entire body with good rhythm and tempo. You should learn how to move your body for the right golf swing, using your entire body smoothly. That's exactly the most important thing to improve your game of golf.

From 1988 to 1993, he studied under a resident golf professional at Forsgate Country Club, a top-rated course in New Jersey, USA. During this time, he also mastered the golf theories, techniques, and ball flight laws advocated by Dr. Gary Wiren, a PGA Master Golf Instructor and former Director of Education for the PGA of America. After returning to Japan, he has continued to compete in tournament golf while advancing his research into the game. During that time, he gained experience playing rounds with Japanese domestic PGA tour professionals. He also received direct coaching from professional golfer Toru Nakayama, the former vice president of the Professional Golfers' Association of Japan. While living in the United States, he thoroughly studied Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf and mastered its core principles. From analyzing the swing of his revered icon, Jack Nicklaus, he learned the importance of a smooth takeaway and the critical role of the lower body in maximizing shot accuracy. He also looked up to Tom Watson as a mentor. By blending these insights with the rock-solid foundation of Sam Snead’s (who tied for first with 82 PGA Tour wins) unshakeable "One Piece Swing," he synthesized the wisdom of these legends to create the "One Swing". This unique approach balances distance and direction while minimizing physical strain, allowing golfers to maintain peak performance as they age.Pared with Shugo Imahira (amateur at that time), two-times Japan PGA money leader, at the Taiheiyo Open Championship in 2010. After completing a professional golf instructors training course, he opened WATSON International Golf School in 2025.

How can we make steady golf swing which helps us to make good scores? We believe the best way is to build natural golf swing by making your entire body in complete sync. How to take back your golf club, where is the top of your swing, and how to start your downswing are all minor issues. Important thing is the essence. So what is that essence? It's a mechanism how the golf clubs move. Then, what moves the club? That's your body. The way your body moves is very natural and simple. If you understand how you should move your body to swing, then you're ready to make a great golf swing!

The synergistic effect of lessons and coaching
Lesson is more like teaching. Teachers teach knowledge or skill at a time. Coaching, however, is to support students from wide perspectives such as training planning, monitoring progress, and maintaining motivation while providing lessons as required as a part of overall coaching. Accurate teaching and trust-worthy coaching make us stand us out from other golf schools.

It makes total sense to continue your lessons/coaching once every two to three months for a year or two in order to make what you've learned your own.

I fortunately had an opportunity to play golf with Mr. Uematsu in a recent fresh green season. Then, I took his on-course round golf coaching. He explained and guided precisely, in a balanced way, some important golf fundamentals as well as how the player could play golf with being himself , using such fundamentals.
He explained how to understand and maintain such basics as set-up, stance, golf club orbit, golf club face rotation in an easy way based on golf principles which made me totally convinced. He also believes it's important that players could make their golf swings comfortably and pleasingly. He respects each players sense and feelings as well as their playing styles. His attitude did help me to build up my golf swing very smoothly and comfortably.
He never forced me anything to start up from ground zero, nothing like "do as I say" at all. He just taught me how important to understand the basics, and advised me kindly how to adjust and maintain my golf swing, how to manage my golf game, and even the golf course management. He was very happy when I played well. He rejoiced together with me! I was impressed with his warm personality.
Mr. Uematsu is a wonderful coach and is the right coach for you if you want to improve your golf naturally with great fun.

I had a great experience coached by Jonny for 4 days during my summer holiday back in July. It's hard to find an English-speaking golf coach in Karuizawa, but Jonny was fantastic. He was flexible with scheduling, which allowed me to enjoy my vacation while improving my golf swing skills.
Jonny customized each lesson to fit my needs, focusing on areas where I needed improvement. His knowledge of golf and practical tips made a big difference in my progress. Communication with him was easy and straightforward, adding to the smooth learning experience.
If you're looking for a relaxing golf holiday in Karuizawa, I highly recommend Jonny. His friendly approach and expert guidance make learning enjoyable. He's the perfect choice for anyone wanting to enhance their swings while enjoying the beautiful golf course surroundings.

Our boys had a great 3 days lesson with Jonny. Not only he tailored the impeccable schedule to match boys’ skill set/what to work on, he also went above and beyond to arrange the rental sets that suit them perfectly. Jonny is kind, patient, encouraging and fun coach anyone could ask for, and boys not only had improved their skills but also enjoyed the round with him so much. You can feel that he really cares about your golf. His coaching style is very simple and easy to follow. As a seasoned golfer I would like to go back for myself to take a lesson from him and learn the course management next time. Thank you Jonny for amazing 3 days, it was so much more than I expected!

I took a golf camp "Quick Learning Course" (one night two days ) at the Taiheiyo Club Karuizawa Resort in September, when there still was a summer heat in Tokyo area.
Day1 Golf theory and principles, ball flight laws, and basics of golf swing.
First, at the club house, I learned fundamentals of golf, how to move my body, and how the ball flies. I only play golf several times a year. I played golf in my own way. Never have taken a golf lesson properly organized. The textbook I got explains basics of golf such as how to prepare for the golf swing, how to move your body, positions of your arms and hands, how golf balls fly, directions and trajectories along with analytics. It was new to me and helped me a lot to learn. Why I hit slice or hook. Why I can not hit golf balls right. The textbook gave me all the answers. Well organized and so easy to understand. The golf theory described in the textbook was used in the USPGA education program, I heard. So, it was not a personal view or thoughts of one particular golf coach. It was clearly a well-structured proven practical theory based on accumulated long-term data and relevant analytics effort. It's not too much to say that the text book contains a lot of information and key points of golf the people like me and even golf professionals to understand. I believe it'll help me practicing by myself overtime.
Day1 Practical practice
After learning golf fundamentals, I got my golf swing checked by Mr. Uematsu, a golf coach. Although I thought I got so many problems in my golf swing, Mr. Uematsu never tried to fix them all at once, but he set priority on them, started working on the most important issue and moved on next one by one. There was a great chance that my mind becomes full with my many problems. So I much appreciated the way Mr. Uematsu approached each one of my issues which was easy to understand and easy to implement. Mr. Uematsu never made negative comments to my issues. He rather respected my golf and created very open and relaxed atmosphere. I was certainly able to listen to him very honestly and openly without any pressure. Big surprise was that my balls and their trajectories, stabilities, directions and strength are very different between the start of the practice and the end of the practice. I also practiced bunker, approach shots and puttings. I had issues in all of them. Mr. Uematsu explained to me why I could not hit the ball right in the easy and simple way to understand. I was totally convinced what Mr. Uematsu advised me, and believe what I learned will help me keep practicing by myself.
Day 2 Round lesson
The text includes such basics as address and some strategies to play better, play smart. So that I was able to pay attention to my golf swing basics and to keep focusing on the course management. I learned discipline to think carefully how to hit, where to hit, shot by shot. This practice helped me significantly to play right from aiming through recovery shots. Mistakes was no longer mistakes for me because I was able to learn why such mistakes happened. I had been playing golf aimlessly and vaguely until I took this lesson. Mr. Uematsu changed my mind and my way to play golf. The view of Mt. Asama from Taiheiyo Club Karuizawa course was absolutely fantastic.
Day 2 Round review
Mr. Uematsu and I reviewed my play together. All the advise I was given were not just one way from the coach to the student. Mr. Uematsu always empathized my feeling. His way of coaching was so impressive. Mr. Uematsu explains many important points in golf systematically based on the proven theory, to each different level of students accordingly. All level of players will be satisfied and convinced.
After the Coaching
Mr. Uematsu provided me with my golf swing analysis document at a later date. It was beyond my expectation. I was quite surprised. This particular document helped me a lot to visually understand my golf swing. Mr. Uematsu also pointed what he liked about my golf swing. So, I became confident as well as recognizing my problems to fix. He also gave me an opportunity to be coached online to follow up this particular document. Mr. Uematsu never leave his coaching unfinished. I do appreciate his decent and respectable coaching with passion.
