1958年　神奈川県生まれ。

1981年　*専修大学卒（*同学は羽川豊、藤田寛之、横田真一、近藤智弘、小田龍一など、数多くのトッププロを輩出）

1988年　渡米。ニュージャージー州フォースゲートCCにてPGAプロに師事。

1990年　PGA教育本部長を務めたゲーリー・ワイレン博士の*ゴルフ理論を習得。

*ゴルフにおける５つの物理法則と正しいスイングのための12の原則

1993年〜　帰国と同時にゴルフ研究と競技ゴルフに取り組む。

ユニマットグループ主催のプロ・アマ合同の競技会では、元PGA副会長、中山徹プロと同組でラウンド。前半リードで折り返すも、79で敗れた。

2010年　第８回太平洋オープンゴルフ選手権予選（プロ24名、アマチュア7名）出場。

予選トップ通過した今平周吾プロ（当時18歳、アマチュア）と同組でラウンド。

2021年　ビジネスの第一線を退いた後、ゴルフ指導開始。

2023年　プロゴルフ指導者養成講座参加。

2024年　ゴルフ上達のフレームワーク「STAR-D Framework ™️ 」を完成。

2025年　WATSON International Golf School 開校。

60歳を過ぎてからのベストスコアは78、ハーフベストは36。

現在の目標は70歳でのエージシュート。

Spent 5 years in US。Learned advanced golf skill from a PGA pro associated with the Forsgate C.C. in New Jersey. Pared with Mr. Shugo Imahira, a top Japan PGA tour professional and was 18 year-old amateur at that time, at the 8th Taiheiyo Open Championship semi final in 2010.

Started golf coaching in 2021. Joined the development school of professional golf instructors in Japan in 2023. Developed the framework to help improving golf skillset "STAR-D Framework" in 2024. Opened WATSON International Golf School in 2025.

I spent 40 years straight in Information Tech industry while working on golf researches and participating golf tournaments. Many things I learned from business taught me one thing; we can clearly recognize proven benefit and conviction in customer satisfaction.

I fortunately had an opportunity to play golf with Mr. Uematsu in a recent fresh green season. Then, I took his on-course round golf coaching. He explained and guided precisely, in a balanced way, some important golf fundamentals as well as how the player could play golf with being himself , using such fundamentals.

He explained how to understand and maintain such basics as set-up, stance, golf club orbit, golf club face rotation in an easy way based on golf principles which made me totally convinced. He also believes it's important that players could make their golf swings comfortably and pleasingly. He respects each players sense and feelings as well as their playing styles. His attitude did help me to build up my golf swing very smoothly and comfortably.

He never forced me anything to start up from ground zero, nothing like "do as I say" at all. He just taught me how important to understand the basics, and advised me kindly how to adjust and maintain my golf swing, how to manage my golf game, and even the golf course management. 都心ではまだ酷暑の続く９月初旬、初秋の軽井沢（太平洋クラブ軽井沢リゾート）で「ゴルフキャンプ速習コース」を受講しました。

初日（ゴルフ理論や法則、スイング動作の基本など）

先ずはクラブハウスにて、教本を使用して「スイングの基本や身体の動かし方、ボールの飛び方」等を教わりました。私は年に数回のラウンドを楽しむ程度ですのでこれまでは自己流。きちんとしたレッスンを受けた事はありませんでした。スイング前の準備など基本中の基本から始まり、スイング中の動作・身体の動かし方、腕の位置、打球の方向や弾道の分析に至るまでを網羅した教本は、全てが新鮮で大変参考になるものです。「なぜスライスやフックになるのか」「なぜ打点が定まらないのか」。日頃から抱いていた疑問に答えを出すもので、一元的に整理されたテキストは大変分かり易く纏まっています。教本にあるゴルフ理論は米国PGAの教育プログラムでも採用された内容との事で、特定のコーチの経験や研究に基づく主観的なものではなく、ゴルフ界で長年蓄積されたデータや分析に基づく実践的理論の体系書です。私のようなアマチュアからそれこそツアープロに至るまで、押さえなければいけないゴルフの基礎が全てここに込められていると言っても過言でないと感じました。今後自分で練習する時に常に参考になります。

初日（実践練習）

教本にて基本を学んだ後、練習場にて今のスイングをチェックしていただきました。これまでの我流スイングではきっと修正点が満載であろうと思いましたが、植松コーチはそれらを全て一度に直そうとするのではなく、打球に直接関係する原因に優先順位を付け、重要なものから順番に意識して修正するようにご指導いただきました。私の場合、あれこれ悪い点を同時に直そうとすると、それだけで頭が一杯になり、結果、スイングがぎこちなくなってしまう可能性も有りましたので、指導内容を消化し易くコーチングいただいたのは大変ありがたく感じました。また、現在の課題点もそれを否定されるのではなく、逆に尊重していただきながらの指導なので、精神的にもゆとりを持ってアドバイスをお聞き出来たと思います。練習開始時と練習後で打球の方向性や強さ、安定性が大きく改善したのは少し驚きでした。ショットの練習だけでなく、私が苦手とする「バンカー」「アプローチ」「パター」の順番で練習していきます。教本に書かれた基本をベースにそれぞれのポイントを分かり易く解説いただきました。「なぜ上手く打てないのか」という点を理論的かつ体感的にお教えいただき、どうすれば良いのかという解決策を自ら理解・納得するまで十分練習出来ました。

２日目（ラウンドレッスン）

教本にはスイング前の「アドレス」からコースを攻略する「ストラテジー」に関するものも含まれており、体の動かし方だけでなくボール・体の位置、クラブの位置を確認しつつ、コース・マネジメントを行いながらのプレーです。１打１打丁寧に考える習慣が身につき、慎重に狙いを定めたショットを心掛けるようになります。目標セットからリカバリーまで考えながらプレーし、失敗したらその理由を自分で理解しながらプレー出来るようになります。これまで漫然とプレーしていただけに、大きく意識が変わりました。軽井沢で、浅間山の雄大な景色を背景にリゾートコースの美しさを満喫しつつゴルフができる贅沢感・満足感も素晴らしく、思わずレッスンを受けている事を忘れてしまう程でした。

２日目（ラウンドレビュー）

ラウンド後はクラブハウスでプレーを振り返りました。コーチから受講者への一方的なアドバイスではなく、常に受講者の気持ちにご配慮いただいた素晴らしいコーチングでした。受講者のレベルに合ったアドバイスを、しっかりした理論に沿って体系的にご説明いただけるので、すべてのレベルのプレーヤーが納得・満足できる内容だと思います。

コーチング終了後（アフターフォロー）

後日、自分のスイング分解画像を載せた詳細な「スイング分析書」をお送りいただきました。ここまでしていただけると思っておらず、大変驚きました。自分の課題をビジュアルに理解できるだけでなく、「長所」についてもご指摘いただき、課題を再認識すると同時に大変自信も持てました。更にはWebミーティングでのアフターフォローもご提案いただいており、「やりっぱなし」ではない植松コーチの情熱のこもった温かいご指導に感謝するばかりです。

I took a golf camp "Quick Learning Course" (one night two days ) at the Taiheiyo Club Karuizawa Resort in September, when there still was a summer heat in Tokyo area.

Day1 Golf theory and principles, ball flight laws, and basics of golf swing.

First, at the club house, I learned fundamentals of golf, how to move my body, and how the ball flies. I only play golf several times a year. I played golf in my own way. Never have taken a golf lesson properly organized. The textbook I got explains basics of golf such as how to prepare for the golf swing, how to move your body, positions of your arms and hands, how golf balls fly, directions and trajectories along with analytics. It was new to me and helped me a lot to learn. Why I hit slice or hook. Why I can not hit golf balls right. The textbook gave me all the answers. Well organized and so easy to understand. The golf theory described in the textbook was used in the USPGA education program, I heard. So, it was not a personal view or thoughts of one particular golf coach. It was clearly a well-structured proven practical theory based on accumulated long-term data and relevant analytics effort. It's not too much to say that the text book contains a lot of information and key points of golf the people like me and even golf professionals to understand. I believe it'll help me practicing by myself overtime.

Day1 Practical practice

After learning golf fundamentals, I got my golf swing checked by Mr. Uematsu, a golf coach. Although I thought I got so many problems in my golf swing, Mr. Uematsu never tried to fix them all at once, but he set priority on them, started working on the most important issue and moved on next one by one. There was a great chance that my mind becomes full with my many problems. So I much appreciated the way Mr. Uematsu approached each one of my issues which was easy to understand and easy to implement. Mr. Uematsu never made negative comments to my issues. He rather respected my golf and created very open and relaxed atmosphere. I was certainly able to listen to him very honestly and openly without any pressure. Big surprise was that my balls and their trajectories, stabilities, directions and strength are very different between the start of the practice and the end of the practice. I also practiced bunker, approach shots and puttings. I had issues in all of them. Mr. Uematsu explained to me why I could not hit the ball right in the easy and simple way to understand. I was totally convinced what Mr. Uematsu advised me, and believe what I learned will help me keep practicing by myself.

Day 2 Round lesson

The text includes such basics as address and some strategies to play better, play smart. So that I was able to pay attention to my golf swing basics and to keep focusing on the course management. I learned discipline to think carefully how to hit, where to hit, shot by shot. This practice helped me significantly to play right from aiming through recovery shots. Mistakes was no longer mistakes for me because I was able to learn why such mistakes happened. I had been playing golf aimlessly and vaguely until I took this lesson. Mr. Uematsu changed my mind and my way to play golf. The view of Mt. Asama from Taiheiyo Club Karuizawa course was absolutely fantastic.

Day 2 Round review

Mr. Uematsu and I reviewed my play together. All the advise I was given were not just one way from the coach to the student. Mr. Uematsu always empathized my feeling. His way of coaching was so impressive. Mr. Uematsu explains many important points in golf systematically based on the proven theory, to each different level of students accordingly. All level of players will be satisfied and convinced.

After the Coaching

Mr. Uematsu provided me with my golf swing analysis document at a later date. It was beyond my expectation. I was quite surprised. This particular document helped me a lot to visually understand my golf swing. Mr. Uematsu also pointed what he liked about my golf swing. So, I became confident as well as recognizing my problems to fix. He also gave me an opportunity to be coached online to follow up this particular document. Mr. Uematsu never leave his coaching unfinished. I do appreciate his decent and respectable coaching with passion.

01 スイング作りの前提となる身体の動きをしっかり学べる

ゴルフ上達には、理に適った良いスイングを作ることがもっとも効果的です。ボールを打つのはクラブですが、それらの動きをコントロールするのは身体です。トッププロのゴルフスイングは皆それぞれですが、共通していることは「身体の動きでゴルフクラブをコントロールしている」ことです。決して手だけでクラブを上げて打ったりはしていません。良いスイングのためには、前提として正しい身体の動かし方があり、それをしっかり学んで実践する必要があります。身体の動かし方を学ばないまま、練習場に行っていくらボールを打っても安定したショットは望めません。いろいろなショットが出てしまい、そのたびに一喜一憂してしまうでしょう。

Making logical and reasonable golf swing is the most effective way to improve your golf. It's true that it's your golf club to hit the ball, however, what controls your golf club is your body. You realize that golf swing of top tour professionals vary, but what they all have in common is that they control their clubs by their bodies, not just by hands. For you to make your golf swing right, first and foremost, it's important to understand how you should use your body right, learn how to execute the right move of your body. If you practice at the driving range without understanding how to use your body, your balls may go left and right, eventually you would swing from joy to sorrow each time you hit the balls.

ゴルフには多くの物理的現象があります。それゆえ一定の法則や原理も存在します。こうした法則や原理を理解しておくことは、自分のゴルフをより高みへ導くための重要な手助けとなります。本校では、世界的に有名な Dr. Gary Wiren の「ボールの飛行法則」「ゴルフの５つの法則と12の原理」を中心に、ゴルフ理論が、実際のラウンドでどのように実践的に活用されるのかを含めて学びます。学ぶことで、自分のスイングの良いところ、改善が必要なところを理解でき、その結果より良いスイングが形成され、安定して良い弾道のボールが打てるようになります。

There are many physical phenomenon in golf. Therefore, there are certain laws and principles. Understanding such laws and principles enables you to improve your golf significantly. We primarily use Ball Flight Laws, 5 Laws and 12 Principles in Golf contended by Dr. Gary Wiren and learn how such laws and principles are used in your golf swing. Learning such laws and principles help you to recognize what you're good at and what you need to improve in your golf. Accordingly, your golf swing will be much more effective and beautiful and you could hit the balls with ideal trajectory, a lot more often than ever before.

概要

Overview

スイング作りから、ショットやアプローチ、パッティングなどの特定のテーマまでの広い範囲から、受講者との事前カウンセリングを経て、コーチング内容を固めてゆきます。

習ったことをしっかり身につけていただくには、３〜４回のコーチングをお勧めいたします。

スイング作りには、それに必要な身体の動かし方をまず覚えていただく必要があるため、練習場所は練習場以外にも、一定のスペースが安全に確保できる場所など、コーチングテーマに応じて選びます。

This program could cover variety of topics such as building your golf swing, golfs shots, approach shots and putting, Coaching topics will be determined by the counseling prior to the actual coaching and we nail down the right topic for you.

3 to 4 times coaching is highly recommended for you to acquire the skills learned.

Building your golf swing may not require the driving range just because you do not need to hit the balls. It can be done at any large enough safety spaces appropriate for the golf training.

平均スコアが110 以下の方を対象としたコーチングです。

スタート前の練習時では練習方法なども含めて、またコースではショットやパッティングはもちろん、置かれた状況での打ち方や狙い方、コースマネジメントなどをコーチングいたします。

This program is for those who make 110 or below score in average.

At the driving range before you start, we coach you including how to practice before the tee. On the course, we coach you to improve your shots and putting, how to aim and how to hit at your situations, along with the course management.

ラウンド数が減る真夏や冬場など、オンラインで効率的にコーチングを受けることができます。夜間、土日休日にも対応いたします。

This specially unique online coaching is privately available by 3-month contract, twice a month, and 45 min. each time.

This program enables you to continue to take coaching effectively during mid summer or even winter when you may not have as many rounds of golf as other seasons. Coaching in evening and holidays are also available.

・会場は軽井沢エリア内のゴルフ場及び隣接宿泊施設を予定しています。但し、当校所定の出張費をご負担いただくことで、他の地域でも開催は可能です。

Location will possibly be the golf course and the hotel nearby in Karuizawa area. However, we're happy to travel to where the students desire as much as we can if our travel cost are covered by the students.

・その他の費用として、宿泊費、食事代、練習場利用料及びボール代、ラウンドコーチングにおけるコーチのプレー代及びその時の昼食代、プレー代に付帯する関連諸経費等を受講者様にご負担いただきます。

The other cost will include your play fee and hotel accommodation, your lunch and dinner, your fee for the driving rage and the balls and any associated cost and your personal expenses. The cost for the coach's play fee, lunch on day 2 will also be borne by the students.

数年またはそれ以上のゴルフ経験があり、目安の平均スコアが110以内の方で、改めてゴルフを基本から応用まで体系的に理解したい方、自分のゴルフを改善したい方、さらなる知識習得と技術の向上を目指す方などを対象としたコースです。3日間で本格的なゴルフを効率よく学べるコースです。受講後に何度も繰り返し練習することで,あなたのゴルフが変わります。

This golf camp is designed for those who have several years of golf experience, and average score is below 110, and for those who want to understand golf from basics to advanced level systematically, improve your golf, want to acquire more knowledge and technique of golf. You would be able to learn authentic game of golf only in 3 days. Then, you are expected to continue your practice or take other coaching programs as appropriate repeatedly. Such effort will definitely change your game of golf.

この度は、数あるゴルフスクールの中から当校をご検討いただき、まことにありがとうございます。ご登録に際してのお手続きを下記にご案内いたしますので、手順に沿ってお進みください。

Thank you for choosing our school while there are many out there. It is our pleasure to guide you how to proceed your school registration as below.

Step 1

ご登録フォームに必要事項をご記入の上、下記のスクール利用規約をご一読ください。ご同意いただける場合はフォームのチェックボックスに✔︎を入れ、「送信する」をクリックして送信してください。

Fill out the form left, read "the school terms & conditions, regulations" below and click "Send" to send it to us.

Step 2

当校にてフォーム受領を確認の後、ご登録者様のメールアドレス宛にZoomリンクをお送りいたしますので、簡単な面談をお願いいたします。

We'll send you the Zoom link for a brief online meeting, once the registration form as been delivered to us.

Step 3

オンライン面談が終了いたしましたら、ご登録いただいたメールアドレス宛にご登録料のご請求書をお送りいたします。請求書日付から7日以内にお支払いをお願いいたします。当校にてお支払いの確認の後、メールにてご登録証をお送りいたします。これを以てお手続き完了となります。

We'll send you the invoice for the admission fee upon completion of the online meeting. Please execute your payment within 7 days from the date of the invoice. Upon confirmation of your payment, we'll send you the registration certificate by email. Then, your registration will finally be completed.

Step 2

当校にてフォーム受領を確認の後、ご登録のメールアドレス宛にご希望の日程で可能かどうかをお知らせいたします。ご希望の日程で難しい場合は、代替日程や代替案をご連絡いたします。

We'll let you know if coaching is available after we receive your request form. If your desired schedule does not work, we'll propose you alternatives.

Step 3

その後はメールやお電話、Zoom 等で日程や内容をご相談の上、最終的に日取りをご相談いたします。

We'll continue to communicate with you by emails, phone or Zoom to discuss exact date and the coaching program.
